Sepideh Ahmadvand

Sepideh (Zahra) Ahmadvand, 40 years old and mother of a 9-year-old son, was killed by a combat bullet fired from behind in Azimieh, Karaj, near Mandegar Tower, on January 8, 2026. Following her death, the regime pressured and coerced her family to identify her as a 'Basiji' (member of the Basij paramilitary force) in order to retrieve her body, and to conduct the burial in a quiet, humiliating manner, with the forced presence of several IRGC members.
